Award-winning filmmaker, cultural leader, and Miami-based artist Tiffany Madera explores the intersection of dance, documentary, and social justice.
Grounded in her Afro-Chinese Cuban heritage and dual Master's degrees in Performance Studies (NYU Tisch) and Latin American and Caribbean Studies (FIU), Tiffany writes from a Global South perspective that bridges theory and practice, scholarship and lived experience.
Her reflections draw from two decades of work spanning Miami, the Caribbean, Latin America, and North Africa—including her acclaimed documentary Havana Habibi, the global Baladi Project, and Dancing My Mother's Body.
