Miami women artists and the arts of the Global South are under-represented. The Global South Institute for dance + film will create and support a film and dance industry in Miami through grant making, artist in residence projects, educational programming, professional development opportunities and community engagement, that provides a platform for Miami women artists to innovate and create - and that raises the profile of this diverse city as a change maker in the arts.
